I finished the book today! Haven’t completed a non-acting, non-computer book for a while. The name George Orwell was introduced to me by Ane in one of her posts. She mentioned the book 1984.

It’s a fable but my Goodness you can read it as a history book. All those Comrade language, marching and performances, rumors spread by the enemy, using the numbers to cover up the reduction of the harvest which leads to starvation… you can find all of them in China between 1950 – 1978. Mao was careful not to pamper in food and physical luxury, but he definitely went all the way on the leadership worship. I remember those lines from my parents’ generation “Mao is always right. Everybody must read his words daily..”

It’s shocking yet reasonable — the evolution of the Animalism. It sends a chill down you spine. Again, human are born to be self fish and evil.
