I’ve been so busy!! Haven’t got a chance to do much writing. Just want to note some random problems with my PC

1. One day, the sound card refused to recognize the speaker 5 minutes after the start up. (There were sound at the start up!) I  rebooted the computer several times, reinstalled the sound card driver, uninstalled and reinstalled the card, unplugged and plugged the speaker to different jacks. Nothing worked. Eventually, I shut down the computer then started it up. This time, the speaker is recognized easily. My one hour, wasted!  It is so frustrating when the computer has to “realize” that a speaker has been “plugged in” instead of just connect!

2. I was using File-Zilla to upload multiple 2 or 3 mb pictures, amonng other things. The computer hung up. I rebooted  and just ran the software. It hung up again. This time after restarting, I set the upload to only do one file at a time. The computer didn’t hang up this time. Bug?

I can no longer use the little mac book. Have to go buy a new one. In a way, its not bad since the little mac really cannot handle the rendering and compression fast enough. But … my God, its a lot of money!!! I hate MAC! My spanky new Core2 Quad PC was less than $1k!
