Actually, 504 started as 111 (or some close number).There were 6 girls from all over China that happened to be assigned to same dorm room. I was one of the 6. The names arranged by age (we were all born in the same year really) are:

Laoda, Xiaoniang, Hui, Xiaobai, Clara,Xiaoli.

Initially, we stayed inside of the campus. We witnessed some romantic and some not so romantic chasing games. After a year, we were moved to the Girls-Only dorm area. From that point forward, we were on the top of a solitary fortress that no boy can sing a song under the window any more.

It was not too bad really. Without the buzzing noise from boys, we actually built a strong bond between us. It didn’t matter to me anyways since no one would date me back then but I got to steal the other girls from all the boys that were watching covetously. 😈 Yes, none of us had a boyfriend for 2 years in 504 until the very last year. (Traitor!) Other dorms were not so lucky because there would be one or two out of 6 members that had a boyfriend and that number was increasing every year.
